Back and Forth

Back and forth
Forth and back
Only to be mulled again
The time has come for me to pause
Not forever
Forever is too long
A few months while I can bask
In the sunshine
The joy of having my children
Close to me
Yet almost gone
I’ve not been fair
To those who’ve said hello
The etiquette broken
Not returning the favor
The time has come for me to pause
Not forever
Forever is too long
I’ll see you soon my friends
Enjoy yourselves and each other

It was difficult to decide to take a blogging break but I think it’s the fair thing to do. I’ve been so busy with work (two part-time jobs now) and spending time with my family that my blogging time dropped. I apologize to those of you who commented and I didn't do the same. I hope you know how much I appreciate you.

I may do a repost or two so people looking for comfort and support on sex addiction can find it here (email support is always available) but like this post, I won’t enable comments.  I hope you all have a wonderful and fun-filled summer. I'll see you soon.

What Happened to the Quiet? - IWSG Post

June! It’s finally here! No more snow, no more ice, just warm weather and opportunities for beach time. But, this wonderful time of year brings distractions that take me away from writing.

My alone time has vanished. My children are all around me again - each and every one of them; and my husband, who just got laid off from work, wants to spend time with the everybody before the next job comes along. (Please pray or send good vibes that one does soon).

I have a family who loves each other and actually wants to spend time together. That’s truly a blessing. A blessing I very much appreciate. I shouldn’t complain (but you know I will anyway). With all these people around (aka my wonderful family), I rarely have that quiet time I used to enjoy when I woke up early or got home from work.

I suppose instead of griping about it, I’ll enjoy this one last summer when I’ll have my children surrounding me and while my hubby’s at home (before he vanishes into the work force again.)

The book can wait for a bit and I’ll appreciate those noiseless moments even more when they happen over the summer. That is if I’m not sulking about my entire family doing something other than spending time with me.

Will your writing slow down over the summer? Do you have any great plans for the next few months?
